Madonna – Girl Gone Wild. Madonna is imitating Madonna!
“I’m a bad girl anyway,” Madonna croons on the bridge to her second MDNA single “Girl Gone Wild.” And if the accompanying video is any indication, she’s right. Harkening back to the black-and-white mixture of eroticism and glamor in her iconic “Vogue” visual, the clip (directed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott) features the “Some Girls” diva and a cadre of comely shirtless gentlemen (some in high heels!) getting down with their bad selves (along with some Inception-style gravity defiance).
The monochromatic video pretty much combines all of the most iconic imagery from her previous videos; It’s part “Vogue,” part “Express Yourself” and part “Sex” — Madonna’s controversial 1992 coffee table book. Watch below.

“Girl Gone Wild” is all about the heat of letting loose and dancing, certainly themes that Madge fans will find familiar. Produced by Benny Benassi, the track, though fun and funky, is a bit darker than her first single, which seemed to pay homage to the ’80s version of the pop icon in its bright nature.
Directed by Mert & Marcus. Post production by the incredible Flame and 3D guys & girls at Prime Focus. Grading and DCP by Duncan Russell. Sanity maintained and produced by Chris ‘Chops’ Chard. Tell us what’s on your mind in the comments below please!
